On the afternoon of December 5, 2025, Ma Huaide, President of Renmin University of China (RUC), visited Wu Xiaoqiu, former Vice President of RUC, Dean of the National Financial Research Institute, and National First-Class Professor. He was accompanied by Vice President Zheng Xinye, Director of the Party and Administration Office Wu Cong, Dean of the School of Finance Zhuang Yumin, and Party Committee Secretary of the School Sun Hualing.

President Ma Huaide first went to Professor Wu Xiaoqiu's office to see his working environment. During the visit, he expressed high appreciation for Professor Wu’s 30 years of perseverance in leading the Chinese Capital Market Research Institute and successfully building the China Capital Market Forum into a renowned academic brand.

Subsequently, President Ma visited the Secretariat Office of the National Supervisory Committee for Finance Professional Degree Graduate Education. Professor Wu Xiaoqiu introduced that the construction of the secretariat has played a vital role in the national professional degree education. He expressed his hope that the university would continue to maintain the leading position of its dominant disciplines and professional degree categories nationwide.

In the reception room of the National Financial Research Institute, President Ma Huaide browsed through Professor Wu Xiaoqiu's series of personal academic publications and learned about the publication of China Capital Market Research: 30 Years, 30 Volumes. They held an in-depth discussion on various topics, including RUC's discipline construction, the development of scientific research institutions, intergenerational succession in dominant academic fields, and the cultivation of young faculty members. President Ma emphasized that National First-Class Professors are precious assets to the university and expressed his hope that Professor Wu will continue to support the development of the university's endeavors.

President Ma Huaide also visited the researchers and staff of the National Financial Research Institute and put forward expectations and requirements for the institute's future development.
