On January 6, the 28th (2024) China Capital Market Forum was held at Renmin University of China. The forum was co-sponsored by the China Capital Market Research Institute of Renmin University of China and Guorong Securities Co., LTD., with special support from the School of Finance and Finance of Renmin University of China, the National Institute of Finance of Renmin University of China, the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies of Renmin University of China, and the editorial Department of Applied Economics Review. The theme of the forum is 'The Direction of reform of China's capital market: From Financing Market to Investment market'. Leaders, experts and scholars from central state organs, universities, research institutions and other relevant units, as well as guests from securities companies, fund companies, listed companies and media journalists gathered together to discuss the past and future of the capital market and discuss the road to reform of the capital market.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Lin Shangli, President of Renmin University of China, Mr. Nie Qingbin, Deputy Director of the Social Science Department of the Ministry of Education, delivered the opening speech, and Mr. Zhang Zhihe, chairman of Guorong Securities Co., LTD., delivered the welcoming speech. Zhuang Yumin, Dean of School of Finance and Finance of Renmin University of China and Executive dean of National Institute of Finance of Renmin University of China, presided over the opening ceremony.

During the luncheon speech session, Huang Yiping, vice president of the National School of Development of Peking University, Shi Wei, founding partner of Huaxia Cornerstone Management Consulting Group and senior researcher of China Capital Market Research Institute of Renmin University of China, spoke respectively. This session was hosted by Qu Qiang, professor of the School of Finance and Finance of Renmin University of China.

Afterwards, the participants held dialogue and discussion on the theme, and Yao Zhenshan, host of CCTV financial program, and Chu Lin, host of Hexun network, presided over the theme discussion.
