RUC Convenes 20th Anniversary Symposium on China’s Capital Market

From January 8th to 9th, RUC held its annual symposium on China’s capital market, this year with the theme, “China’s Capital Market: Risk and Regulation.”RUC’s Institute for the Study of Finance and Securities, the China Securities Journal, Huarong Securities, RUC’s School of Finance, and the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress were among the research institutes, government bureaus, university departments, media outlets, and others represented at the event.

RUC Vice President WANG Liming gave one of the keynote addresses, in which he highlighted the importance of the symposium over the past 20 years in terms of promoting innovative theorizing on China’s capital market and contributions to finance studies at RUC and beyond. The forum has become a well-known trademark in China for research in this area. WANG hopes it will continue to serve as an important platform of exchange and promoter of innovative, strategic research in the future.

RUC President LIU Wei in his keynote address reiterated the exceptional quality of the symposium for capital market studies as it has continuously provided valuable impetus for research in the field over the past 20 years. He offered his congratulations and affirmed the university’s continued dedication to promoting the event in the years to come. President LIU reiterated XI Jinping’s “Five-development Concept,”which aims at steady and healthy economic growth in the period of what XI has called “the new normal.”
