摘要：We use the Chinese College Student Survey, conducted in 2010, to determine who are attracted and who are selected into government jobs. We find that the students who major in science or rank high in class are less likely to work for the government. Students who are from families with better political connections and or wealthier families are more likely to be selected for public office.
报告人简介：孟岭生，清华大学经济管理学院副教授，2010年获美国马里兰大学经济博士。研究领域包括劳动经济学，公共经济学，发展经济学。在Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Human Resources,Journal of Comparative Economics等国际期刊上发表过多篇学术论文。
